Ibiza - Balearic Islands
Ibiza, one of the many islands in the group of Balearic Islands gained popularity across the world around the 1960s and since then has been one of the top places of visit for those who like to party (it has also been given the name "Party Island" by some enthusiasts). The town of San Antonio is where one can find all partygoers for the nightclubs are mostly situated here. However, there is more to the island than just partying.
Tourists who would rather not be a part of the "Ibiza Style" parties have the option of sidestepping in the Ibiza Town which is also known as Eivissa. This town is also the ex-capital which can be understood by looking at the stone fortifications around the harbor area. History has it that these walls could not be breached by any invader for last 400 years. However, in the modern world, it fulfills its obligation of beautifying the place and also serves as a gateway to the high town better known as Dalt Vila. During the mornings, the hardly anyone can be seen on the streets but by the time night comes, they are bustling with both locals and tourists alike.
The highest point of this town is the Almudaina Castle. Visiting this castle (soon to become a 5 star hotel) is a feast for the eyes. Tourists can also be seen flocking around the La Ventana (a villa overlooking the sea) and Can Marti (a set of studios). Both the places are lovely and wonderful to explore. Atzaro is another place that deserves mention on accounts of the great scents that are released in the air while Cas Gasi is the place to find peace and quiet. It's a must-visit spot in any holidays to Ibiza.

South of the town is the Es Cavallet beach which is known for its unique shape (absolutely straight). This place too finds place in the history as the location of a fight between the naked men and the General Franco's fully clothed men on a bid on whether people do or do not wear clothes. Factually, it was the naked men who won and the beach was given recognition as a nudist conclave. Today, it has become a nudist beach and is very popular, especially amongst bisexual men. There are a number of other beaches in the vicinity too. Tourists can count on picking up the vibes of Ibiza on the Salinas beach. A lot of Spanish entertainment industry artists can be seen on this beach from time to time.
Going up north, there are cliffs that are both high and rough. However, hikers tend to look at them as a treat and explore them with free will. A number of villages come in the way during the hike and the hikers do not refrain from treating themselves to beer if there happens to exist a bar.
Very little Spanish is spoken in Ibiza. Instead, the preferred language is Catalan. Nevertheless, as you'll encounter when you're on holiday in Portugal, they do know Basic English and can be asked for guidance if required. For someone who plans to go away from the usual hustle crowd, it would be best to either hire a guide or buy a local map.
